list goes on but the most important is the significance of YWCA
programs and their relevance to the needs at any given moment. It
is the promptness, the novelty and credibility that have been the
hallmark of YWCA action, and shall continue to be so by the grace
of God.
CENTENNIAL
JUBILEE
The
Lebanon YWCA commemorated its one hundred years of service on
May 27, 2000 at the YWCA building In Beirut, Ain Mraisseh. The
ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency General
Emile Lahoud, President of the Lebanese Republic who granted the
Lebanon YWCA the Order of the Cedars rank of Knight, in recognition
of its services to the community and, more particularly, to women
and girls all over Lebanon.
